The Jericho Cup ALHA State Challenge 2022 – Expressions Of Interest Updated

 
The Australian Light Horse Assoc. will be at Warrnambool Victoria, this coming November.
 
This event is proudly supported by Mr Bill Gibbins and is an exhibition display event conducted under the highest standards.
 
We will once again be involved with a Tribute ride past at the Warrnambool Cenotaph located at the crossroads at Liebig Street and Merri Street and participate in a Street Parade on Friday afternoon the 25th November. 
 
The ALHA will conduct the ALHA Jericho Cup State Challenge and presentation of trophy and ribbons on Saturday the 26th November at the Warrnambool Showgrounds Reserve, 331 Koroit Street.
 
This event is based on the guidelines of the ALHA Association Cup.
 
Our members will be conducting a display on race day and support the running of the 4600m Jericho Cup Race to be held on Sunday 27th November at the Warrnambool Racecourse, Grafton Road, Warrnambool VIC.
 
Special Guest is Dennis Lillie our members will have the opportunity for a meet and greet.
 

Timetable:

 Thursday – participants start arriving

Friday – Team practice and a ride later in the afternoon to salute the local cenotaph.
Saturday – Competition day.  That evening we are hosted by Mr Bill Gibbins at the Whaler Hotel.
Sunday – Presentation of ribbons and trophy. Then onto the bus for the Warrnambool Race Meeting.


Monday – Clean stables and head home.

Meals:

Thursday night – you can purchase on ground at the Greyhound Race Meeting.

Friday – the BBQ is set up for breakfast, cook your own; (milk eggs bacon sausages provided).                                       Dinner: sausage sizzle & team meeting.

Saturday – Cook your own breakfast,  Lunch provided. After event nibbles will be finger food at the Whalers Hotel.

Sunday – Cook your own breakfast, Lunch: meals available for purchase at the track,  Dinner meals available for purchase at the R.S.L.

We anticipate five teams of riders who will be representing different states.

 

Traveling Allowance is paid on nearest town to where you live to Warrnambool, approx. 50% paid before you leave rest after you get home.
