ALHA Association Cup 2022 – Warning Order

Keeping the traditions and skills of the Australian Light Horse alive.

The event will be held on Saturday 29th October and Sunday 30th October 2022

The event will be hosted by the 1st Light Horse Tamworth Troop and staged over the October weekend.

The event is open to all financial ALHA members.

Reminder – ALHA 2022/2023 Membership Renewals are now due and payable

Dear Members

Our 2022/2023 Membership Renewals are now due and payable by July 1

The ALHA Board acknowledges our members and troops participation and support in the past and hope that you will continue to be part of the Association this year and into the future. 

As a valued member, you are invited to renew your membership for the coming year.

Membership fees remain unchanged and are – 

  • Riding Members – : $85
  • ATA – Tentpegging Riding Member – : $60 
  • Non-Riding Members – : $60 

Please note – A Riding Member is any member riding or leading a horse whilst participating in parades, ceremonies, displays or events.

All renewal forms are to be completed and signed by the member, then returned online, via email (scanned copy) or post. After processing and clearing of payment your new card and receipt will be forwarded to you in due course. 
  • Members, please note the renewal form MUST be completed and payment received otherwise your membership renewal will not be processed.

The Jericho Cup ALHA State Challenge 2022 – Expressions Of Interest

 
 
The Australian Light Horse Assoc. will be at Warrnambool Victoria, this coming November.
 
We will once again be involved with a Tribute at the Warrnambool Cenotaph located at the crossroads at Liebig Street and Merri Street and participate in a Street Parade on Friday 25th November. 
 
The ALHA will conduct the ALHA Jericho Cup State Challenge on Saturday the 26th November at the Warrnambool Showgrounds Reserve, 331 Koroit Street.
 
 
 
 
This event is based on the guidelines of the ALHA Association Cup.
 
Our members will be conducting a display on race day and support the running of the 4600m Jericho Cup Race to be held on Sunday 27th November at the Warrnambool Racecourse, Grafton Road, Warrnambool VIC.

Motion 1 – Amend ALHA By-law Clause 12 to reduce the minimum membership joining age from 16 to be 13 years of age.

Motion 2 – Amend ALHA By-law Clause 11 to include an addition membership category of Junior Member.

SPUR Magazine – Troops and members are advised the deadline for article submissions for the upcoming magazine  is 25 November. 

Remembrance Day – will be attended by our troops and members across Australia. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions their attendance may be limited in some areas.

New Online Membership Renewals and Application Forms

Our Online forms and payment platform are now live.

Those choosing to complete their paperwork online can now Renew their Membership and Apply to be become  Members by using our online forms – these allow for all payment methods.

Those choosing to pay via credit card, payments can now be made through our secure Stripe payment platform. Stripe accepts both Visa and Mastercard.

The Jericho Cup Challenge 2021 – Expressions Of Interest

Dear Secretaries and Members
 

The Jericho Cup Challenge will be held this year at Warrnambool VIC, on the weekend of Saturday 27 November and Sunday 28 November 2021 (pending COVID-19 State Restrictions)

This is an invitation only event for financial members of the Australian Light Horse Association.

Interested members of the Australian Light Horse Association are therefore cordially invited to submit their Expressions of Interest to attend and participate in this event.
