Mate,

Sorry but how do I check to see what the old site said so I can double check or open one of these again so we can carry on with the subject.

Cheers and great to see you back on line.

Hi Steve

The archive link above (which is an unrelated external site) allows you to view topics by the year and then read each clicked on topic, unfortunately the search icon of the old forum is disabled within this format. If you would like to reopen an old topic, copy the releveant section or topic and post it here on the new site. At this stage that's all we can do as part of the old forum - you'll notice the missing dates was corrupted, so better left unsaved.

Mate,

Thanks yes I see the problem, pity the last discussions from 2009-10 could not be saved.

I was after the discussion on the LH Regts at Beersheba and my married soldiers for Frev.

Looks like we have to start again here.

Cheers

Steve - I didn't archive the Married O/S topic I'm afraid - basically because I was away when the ALHF snuffed it - and didn't actually have a clue what was going on when I first got back!!
I did copy some of the last names that were listed (up to when I went away that is) - that I still haven't yet added to the database (been side-tracked!) - so I'll start up a new topic & copy them back, so you know where I'm at.
May also go through the database and extract all LH marriages to add for the benefit of others.  Still a lot of valuable stuff probably lost though!!
Might try a google / cached search & see what I can find.
Cheers, Frev

Some more Archived Forum can be found here: http://pandora.nla.gov.au/pan/64423/20090520-1059/www.lighthorse.org.au/forum/index.html

This was archived on Pandora on the 20/5/2009 & includes any discussions that were in the first page of the forum on that day.

Also the original old discussion board here: http://pandora.nla.gov.au/pan/64423/20090520-1059/www.lighthorse.org.au/LighthorseDiscussionBoard/index.html

Good afternoon All

Many web users out there still seem to think the old forum is lost forever - fortunately this is not entirely the case. We were aware the that our old forum had been archived in the Pandora Archive with the National Library of Australia - they just had to iron out a few issues. Some topics were lost due to connected spam/corrupted websites that existed in the old format, while others weren't worth saving due to their content. Needless to say once it goes on the web it can be found somewhere.

As Frev pointed out above the following link will lead you to the archived forum 24/8/99 - 4/9/2002

http://pandora.nla.gov.au/pan/64423/20090520-1059/www.lighthorse.org.au/LighthorseDiscussionBoard/Default.html#00000369

These topics cannot be edited or added to. Just simply navigate back and forth as you read them. Please feel free to restart any of them here on this site.
I have personally archived many of the old topics (ones that cannot be opened through Pandora) and will from time to time place them on this site for a little nostalgia and also for your comments and views.

I'm after a copy of the thread or a link to it regarding Herbert Samuel Kerley - 9th LH. Posted sometime around 2004-2005 by Les Emery. Tried that Web Archive one and spent an hour looking for it and couldn't find the thread...

Cheers.

Unfortuanately any threads that appeared to be corrupted in some form (many of our past valuable research topics were attacked by spammers) have gone into cyberspace, I'm searching our records to see if it survived these issues. I remember the the thread, so here's hoping we'll have success.
