Hi All, the RDA WA is celebrating its 40th anniversary this Sunday and the 10th Light Horse Bunbury Troop is helping support the event, with performances of our Musical ride and Skill of Arms.

other services the troop attended in the members local area's were Bunbury, Donnybrook and Margaret River.

next is Guildford Service where along with a friend dressed in period WW1 Infantry uniform representing the 44th Battalion.

We had the pleasure to be part of the hounour guard at the Memorial Gates for 10th Light Horse, 8th F.A.B. and Artillery units rasied at Guildford in WW1.

What a busy week for the Bunbury 10th Light Horse troop.

We have provided our assistance at the following ceremonies

Kalamunda on saturday 21st April for their service with two horses and riders.

Hi All

The Bunbury 10th Light Horse troop presented itself at the Perth Royal Show on the last Saturday of the show.

The Troop had the honour to lead out the Grand Parade whilst His Excellency, Mr Malcolm McCusker AO QC, Governor of Western Australia presented the Governor's Cup.

Later in the evening the Troop perform its musical ride and presented a Tent Pegging display with swords.

So here are a couple photo's from the Grand Parade.

The West Australian Riding for the Disabled Assoication is holding a Open Day at the State Equestrian Centre on Sunday 31st July from 11am.

The 10th Light Horse Bunbury is helping to provide assistance with the entertainment programme.

As Phil has pointed out the LH worn the Great Coat and not a stockman's coat.

With the Great Coats there are two standard issued types, one for dismounted and a mounted pattern.  The mounted pattern is a shorter coat (generally issued to horsed units) than the dismounted pattern which was mainly issued to Infantry etc.
