Beersheba 90th Anniversary trip to Israel and Turkey.

The three week tour including an optional 5 day Turkey component will leave Australia (subject to confirmation of exact flight details) on the 13/10/2007 and return on 3/11/2007.
In the Steps of the Light Horse.
The highlight of the trip will be a mounted ride on a section of the route the Light Horseman took from Shellal to Beersheba. Quality horses have been procured for the ride. The ride will culminate with the Beersheba Day commemoration ceremony at both the Commonwealth War Graves cemetery and later at the Turkish memorial. We will then move onto the unofficial opening of the Memorial Park to the Australian soldier. In addition tours will be made to other places of historical interest including Semak, Jerusalem, Galilee, Jaffa and the Dead Sea.
Turkey
The optional Turkey section of around five days will include a cruise on the Bosphorus a visit to the Grand Bazaar and Spice Markets with the highlight of the tour being a trip to Gallipoli to visit such sights as Lone Pine and the Nek.
Cost
Including all tours, hire of horses, meals, accommodation, visas, taxes and airfares approximately $7170 on a twin share basis. Personal insurance not included.
