Beersheba Day Canberra - 2011
On a beautiful sunny Canberra afternoon an intimate Beersheba Day ceremony was held at the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, Anzac Parade.
A small gathering of NSW Lancers and family members of WW1 Lighthorseman gathered to lay wreaths and tell of their forebears exploits and struggles during the Desert campaign.
The Association was represented by The President Phil Chalker and Director Chris Walsh, both mounted and standing vigil. Association member, Roy Rae layed the wreath for the President on behalf of the Association.
Preparations are now under way for the 95th Anniversary in 2012.
